"Friends of Hagar" Summer Travelers

In Summer 2010, a group of eight American women (plus Hagar USA Executive Director, Jane Tafel) spent three days visiting Hagar Cambodia.  They met key staff and visited women's and children's projects.  The visited some of Hagar partner organizations, to gain a sense of the complexities of issues in Cambodia.

Upon return home, one traveller sent a reflection of the experience:

"I wanted to tell you how Hagar has really impacted my life.  I was so impressed with the mission, the entire organizational structure, and everyone's enthusiasm and commitment to the organization.  I kept trying to find the words to describe to others why Hagar feels so different than other non-profits I have encountered and finally found the word when I read the 2009 Annual Report: Excellence.  It seems that everything that is done, is done in with the core value of excellence.  You could feel it wherever we went."
