Lighting their Way
In 2017, the news headlines from around the globe have at times been disheartening, making it difficult to see the light through the darkness: hurricanes, fires, earthquakes, the refugee crisis, terror attacks, racial tension, and growing political strife. During such times we can take two paths:
- We can become jaded, fearful, and depressed, isolating ourselves from the stark reality around us
- Or we can bring light into the darkness, offering hope to those in need.
At Hagar, the client stories of victimization are often egregious, and difficult to fathom how a perpetrator could stoop to such violent depravity. For victims, Hagar has been proudly serving as a beacon in the night for 23 years, and we are “Lighting their Way” forward to find healing, justice, hope and a brighter future.
Our goal is to raise an additional $75,000 for the remainder of the year to be able to aid more victims to become survivors by “Lighting their Way” forward. During this season you can give a gift of healing, justice, hope, and a brighter future. Please consider supporting those in their darkest hour by making a year-end, or monthly gift to Hagar’s recovery and training programs in Afghanistan, Cambodia, Myanmar, Singapore & Vietnam. Survivors’ lives are forever changed by your generosity.
