The work of Hagar - the months and years of patient, painstaking, hope-filled work - is only possible because of our donors. Because they care, they invest in lives in a way that changes them. Forever. Two years after leaving Hagar's Women's Shelter, more than 80 percent of the women Hagar serves are living sustainable, independent lives.
When you give financially to Hagar, you help bring the biblical story to life all over again. To that Hagar, God gave hope and the promise that He saw her. She was no longer rejected, abandoned, invisible. With each financial gift, you bring that powerful promise to another woman or child who needs to hear it. You truly make a difference.
Consider the story of Eang:
Eang was sold into the sex trade at age 6 by her mother, and only rescued after five long, dark years. Because her family needed money, her mother summoned her to serve up to three male customers per day. Despite this dark past, today Eang is learning to trust, studying in school and rebuilding her life. We believe that her future holds promise.
At age 13, however, Eang still has a long way to go. She knows that Hagar will support her until she can live an independent, sustainable life. We will be there for her. And every monthly gift from our donors means a stronger, ongoing commitment to the Eangs we serve.
