2023 Impact

Last year, nearly 3,000 women and children found hope and healing and tens of thousands of at-risk people were equipped to avoid exploitation. All of this because of the investment and generosity of hundreds of Hagar supporters over the years.

2,859 survivors received holistic, restorative care.

3,774 community and faith leaders were trained to prevent exploitation.

1,024 women and children supported to reintegrate home.

777,363 at-risk people reached with prevention messages via TV and social media campaigns.

While the statistics and systemic issues can be overwhelming, it is so important to remember that within those numbers, there is an individual, that each restored life is significant, and I am invited to be a part of that. Though I cannot be a part of that healing process directly, I can resource and encourage those who specialize in this type of work. I chose Hagar because it emphasized the healing, care, and recovery.

I had the fortunate opportunity to intern with Hagar in Phnom Penh while pursuing my MBA. Being on the ground and interacting with the passionate staff, committed to 'doing whatever it takes for as long as it takes' was inspiring. I saw first-hand the passion, creativity, and deep understanding that underpins the transformative work that Hagar leads every day. I have been a donor ever since.
