Be an Advocate
Hagar’s passion is to find those who might otherwise remain unseen, to speak for those whose voices have been silenced. You, too, can be an advocate for the thousands of women and children whom Hagar serves — reminding them that God sees them and that He cares. With each word you speak on behalf of Hagar, each powerful donation you help raise, you play a role in turning the tide against suffering and injustice.
Ways to help:
- Introduce Hagar to any clubs, organizations and churches, etc., with whom you interact. As people hear of Hagar’s work, hearts will be opened to take action. But the first step is awareness — awareness that abuse is actually happening and then awareness that damaged lives can indeed be transformed. Share materials with your community by contacting us.
- Host a Dining for Hagar party: Invite 10 people for dessert or dinner, and share your passion. Help your friends understand that financial support facilitates transformational care. Want some help in party-planning? Contact us.
- Share your passion with your own networks. Research shows that people are most influenced by friends and family when deciding which charitable organizations to support. Build your own personal online fundraising page focused on an issue that you care about.
