Produced by Giving Tree Productions and shot on location in Cambodia, the film follows Minea’s story of healing, restoration, and pursuing justice. Minea was lured away from her rural village by her best friend who promised her a good job in China But she was ultimately deceived and sold into a forced marriage.
Minea’s story illustrates a side to recovery that isn’t always shown or celebrated, in which a survivor who has undergone severe physical and psychological trauma, is thriving and contributing back to their communities.
