One act of generosity can echo across borders, families, and generations
At Hagar, we often say that healing is not a straight line, it’s a journey. But when one life is restored, the effects don’t stop there. They ripple outward, often in unexpected and beautiful ways.
This year, we’ve seen that ripple effect in powerful motion.
In Vietnam, our team is piloting a new Survivor Leadership Program based on a model developed by our Cambodian staff. This groundbreaking program empowers survivors of trafficking and abuse to become community leaders—speaking out, advocating for others, and creating real change where they live.
And in Thailand, that same spirit of multiplication is transforming care. With support from generous donors, our team received in-depth trauma training directly from our Cambodia staff—deepening their ability to walk with survivors through the long process of healing.
These are just two examples of how generosity doesn’t end with a donation—it begins a movement.
Whether you’ve given once, monthly, or simply shared Hagar’s mission with someone new, your action matters. It’s part of something bigger than any one story.
This is what restoration looks like when it multiplies.
